Positive Vibes! :D

Where there is a will, there is a way. If you find any problem, a typical one, don’t lose heart, go ahead and devote yourself fully, analyze each aspect, and get the problem solved. Every invention taken place so far, were riddled with many unfounded answers, but the inventor’s zeal and perseverance found the solution and a new invention took place. For a confident person, the word ‘impossible’ is no where in his dictionary. A determined and dedicated person finds way in all complexities, undaunted by the initial problems and failures. He keeps on finding solution to every teaser and one day he achieves his cherished goal.

But in general, the above mentioned explanation is easy to say but very hard to execute. What I realized personally is that during the period of crisis, the thing you need most is the "positive vibes". You're bound to lack a bit in confidence/positivity/determination etc. depending upon your character & the intensity of the problem you're facing.

But if you're lucky enough to have someone(can be your virtual image as well), who's there for you in your crisis, without any expectations, generating the "positive vibes" & making up while you're lacking some. The end result is bound to be in favor of you!

I dedicate this to all those people who are going through a "bad patch" in their life but still fighting it out positively.

Test Match at its best!

Last night we observed an outstanding test match b/w India & South Africa. Chasing a world record target of 458 in 4th innings, South Africa ended with 7/450. After a fierce battle of 5 days the two teams settled for a draw. India dominated the first 3 days of the test match, 4th day was even &  in the last day "Du Plesis & De Villiers" took this match to unassailable heights by playing an outstanding partnership among themselves. They replied with a century each to nullify the effect of the two centuries of their Indian counterpart Virat Kohli & Cheteshwar Pujara. During the last hour the match could have ended in anybodies favor, so the result can be considered as a "poetic justice".

12th march, 2009 - This Wanderers ground has seen an historic match where South Africa chased down a world record total(434) against Australia & won the match with 1 wicket in hand. Coming back to Du Plesis & De Villiers, they have shown their class before in Adelaide. De Villiers played for 246 mins to score 33 & Duplesis stayed 110 not out spending 466 mins to draw the test match against the mighty Australians.

There was continuous ups & downs, the script was written like a Hollywood thriller. During the first 3 days when India was commanding, nobody could have thought that they'll have to fight to save the test match at the very end. Then again when the magnificent partnership between De Villiers & Du Plesis was rolling high, only 56 more needed to seal the match & create history, even the die hard Indian fans lost hope. But sudden fall of two wickets saw the match coming back to even & finally settling down for a well justified draw.

We speak quite a often that One-day matches & T20's will be replacing the test matches & gaining more popularity due to the excitement. But this recent test match showed why the oldest form of cricket is still considered by the players, coaches & cricket pundits as the greatest.

BCCI to blame for Team India's poor show?

It's very hard to digest the 2 successive defeats(big margin) of the No. 1 ODI team in the world.

There's a no. of reasons behind it, but I'd like to pin-point the major one(personal view). The way BCCI is running is meaningless, it has turned into a successful "Business Enterprise" but not a successful "Cricket Entity".

There was no planning involved behind this tour from the richest Cricket governing body of the world. Certainly a warm-up game or two would have helped and here perhaps it is the BCCI which is to be blamed. Countries like SA, Eng, Aus etc always come to India at least 7-15 days ahead of any tour to acclimatize themselves. There was needlessly haggling over the schedule following ego clashes, a short tour was hastily arranged just after the West Indies had left India. That WI series itself was a bit of an afterthought more in the nature of giving Sachin Tendulkar a fond farewell at home.

This resulted in a big disadvantage for Team India, while the ODI series started only after 2 days of their landing in South Africa. Now the negative results are speaking for itself & the moral is going down.

Although we still hope that the young guns of Dhoni will fight back & earn some respect/pride for the country.
