"The Power of Positive Thinking"

Hi Everyone,

I’d like to share something that will help you to look at things differently than you had previously. Mainly, you’ll realize that it’s not necessary to work for someone else for the rest of your days.

The following are some of the best thoughts/ideas that will help you change the way you think, find it below:

“Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.”

It’s harder to win when you’re already thinking you’ll lose.

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”

Change your thinking and you’ll start doing things differently.

“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.”

Inaction is a mindset. You are training yourself to be lazier and lazier by the minute.

“Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.”

If you never see yourself losing, it’s harder to lose!

“Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.”

Having no money should never deter you from wanting to have more money.
“Watch your manner of speech if you wish to develop a peaceful state of mind. Start each day by affirming peaceful, contented and happy attitudes and your days will tend to be pleasant and successful.”

Success is also a state of mind. If you believe yourself to be a success, you will act like one. That in turn will create a success environment in which you can surely succeed.

“Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven’t half the strength you think they have.”

It is only because you do not dare that things seem more difficult than they actually are.

“Four things for success: work and pray, think and believe.”

Living a life of simplicity is a magnificent journey to a life of success.

“The more you lose yourself in something bigger than yourself, the more energy you will have.”

When you find your “why,” you won’t have the time to waste it on your excuses no more.

“If you put off everything till you’re sure of it, you’ll never get anything done.”

Successful people never delay their own success.

Best of luck with your journey ahead!

35th league title for East Bengal!

08/01/2014, Kolkata

Kingfisher East Bengal started their CFL-2013 campaign at their home ground against Kalighat M S. Even after leading 4:1 the match was abandoned due to adverse natural condition(bad light). But today there was no such issues and East Bengal eased past the same opponent with a 2:0 win.

With this result East Bengal grabbed the championship crown with still 3 days left for the derby match (KEB vs MMB).  This was East Bengal's 4th league title in a row and 35th overall. If they can continue with the same results for two more years, they'll match the feat of the all time record of the 1975 East Bengal team, which is still considered as the "golden era" in the club's history.

East Bengal needed just a draw to confirm the championship but they secured the win with most of the front-line players in the reserve bench. Coach Armando gave a chance to their reserve bench players (Robert, Subodh, Joaquim, Tulunga) and they proved their ability. Their couldn't have been a better match practice to check those players before the Federation Cup and they showcased the bench strength of the side.

Moga opened the scoring on 24th min with an able assistance from Subodh. At 77th min. Chiddi came as a substitute for Moga and scored almost immediately to make it 2:0. In the stoppage time Tulunga earned a penalty for his team but Suekoa's shot was saved by Kalighat M S goalkeeper Subham Sen. However that couldn't stop the vociferous supporters of East Bengal and they entered the field after the match to join the celebration.

Messi's back with a brace!

Lionel Messi marked his return from a near two-month injury layoff by scoring two late goals as Barcelona beat Getafe 4-0 in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

While Cesc Fabregas also scored twice, the atmosphere at the far from capacity Camp Nou Stadium picked up with Messi's entrance as a substitute in the 64th minute.

The Argentina forward didn't disappoint as he reminded who Barcelona's top scorer is while showing no after effects from a torn left hamstring.

Messi slotted home Martin Montoya's neat lay-off on the stroke of stoppage time before capping a typical run through the opponent's defense with a rising shot into the back of the net moments later.

Copa Del Rey: FC Barcelona vs Getafe CF

FC Barcelona will be hoping to make it seven wins from their past seven matches on Wednesday night, when they welcome Getafe CF to the Camp Nou in the first-leg of their Copa del Rey Round of 16 clash with the Madrid-based outfit. Just a few weeks ago, the Blaugrana overturned a two-goal deficit to defeat Getafe 5-2, and as a result, will be confident of their chances of a comfortable win today.

However, with a crunch clash with Atletico Madrid on their minds, Barcelona may be distracted, and in recent years, they have struggled with the hectic January schedule. Getafe may have La Liga fixtures to focus on as well, but really, the prestige that would accompany a knockout win over the Blaugrana is far greater than a measly La Liga victory or two.

And if Getafe could storm into a 2-0 lead in La Liga, why wouldn’t they have a chance in this tie? Barcelona will rotate their squad to some extent, meaning that the fringe players who come into the team will have to perform to their very best. Are they up to the task? Will Barcelona put one foot into the quarter-finals with a win today?

P.S. - Lionel Messi returns to the squad for the first time in over six weeks. In less than a week’s time, Messi will find out whether he has secured his fifth successive Ballon d’Or, but knowing the Argentine, he will be looking forward to returning to action just that little bit more than any individual honours.

India joins the elite club!

ISRO on sunday successfully launched a "Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle"(GSLV-D5) with an indigenous cryogenic engine from the spaceport of Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikote, Andhra Pradesh.

With this launch, ISRO became the sixth space agency in the world after the USA, Russia, China, Japan and France to achieve it.

This has been a major challenge for ISRO since 2001 after multiple unsuccessful attempts. This is India's eighth flight of GSLV. GSAT-14 is India's 23rd geostationary communication satellite, as four of GSAT-14's predecessor's were launched by GSLV during 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007 respectively. GSAT-14 would join the group of India's nine operational geostationary satellites.

Under the circumstances of continuous scams & economic failure in 2013, this launch came as an incredible new year gift for the nation. Hopefully we'll see many more successful endeavors in 2014.
